As we approach 2021 with cautious optimism, Reston Sprint Triathlon has scheduled the 15th annual race for Sunday, June 6th, (COVID-permitting) with a backup in-person event date of Sunday, August 15th.
Our intent is to make this return to racing a celebration of both the 15th Annual Reston Sprint Triathlon as well as our collective impact on the community as a charity event.
Anticipating COVID-19 protocols, registration for the in-person RST will be limited to the first 500 athletes.
- Registration fee is $150.
- USAT membership is required.
- A one-day USAT membership can be purchased for $15 during registration.
- Service charge applies.
Along with the in-person race will be a virtual event beginning Sunday, June 6th and ending Sunday, August 15th.

*If by chance the dates of both June 6th and August 15th are cancelled, registration for the in-person event can be deferred to 2022.
The Reston Sprint Triathlon is the largest triathlon in Virginia. The race normally hosts 1000 athletes annually and has raised almost $400,000 for Cornerstones since the race was founded in 2007. This year, 2021, due to COVID-19 concerns, the in-person RST will be limited to 500 registrants.
Cornerstones is a nonprofit organization that promotes self-sufficiency by providing support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other human services.
