The mission of Air Ambition is to advance the field of aviation by mentoring, inspiring, and educating future aviators.
Air Ambition’s founder and CEO is Amelia “Mia” Anderson. She is a 17-year-old junior in high school with a passion for Aviation. Mia took her first flight behind the controls as a 13-year-old and was “bitten by the bug.” She received the Skyline Soaring Educational Foundation Scholarship and began Glider flight training in October 2020. She received her private Pilot Glider license in August of 2022 before getting her driver’s license! Also, in August of 2022, she received the EAA Ray Aviation Scholarship for $10,000 and began her powered flight training. Mia is passionate about sharing her love of aviation. She created Air Ambition to mentor, inspire, encourage, educate, and provide future scholarships for young aviators.

Challenge Air for Kids & Friends, Inc. (Challenge Air) is gearing up for an exhilarating Fly Day extravaganza at Frederick Municipal Airport on Saturday, April 11, from 9 am-4 pm. The event is hosted by the AOPA National Aviation Community Center, in conjunction with Air Ambition.

Challenge Air, a national nonprofit organization, is on a mission to reshape perceptions and instill confidence in children with special needs through the gift of flight. Since 1993, Challenge Air has flown over 40,000 kids with special needs and serious illnesses nationwide.
