The Men’s Rugby Alumni Association at Radford University (MRAARU) was created to enable rugby alumni, families, friends, and parents of current players to actively support the Radford Rugby Club. We help manage and execute the long-term, big-picture aspects of the rugby program. This lets coaches, club officers, and players focus on building strong leaders, representing the club well, and competing for championships at the state, regional, and national levels. Our work includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Bring together and organize support from alumni, parents, and businesses for RU Rugby
- Help keep the club’s long-term vision and direction on track
- Work closely with the club and alumni to create, maintain, and carry out the RU Rugby Strategic Plan
- Increase awareness and support for RU Rugby
- Act as a link to other graduates, parents, and businesses to get their support when needed
- Offer financial support to RU Rugby
- Keep a strong working relationship with Radford University and the RU Rugby club, and directly support their fundraising efforts
- Make sure student-athletes have rugby coaches and staff by providing sponsorship and funding
- Build stronger connections with RU Rugby Alumni
